The Maximum Fighting Championship wants you to watch it's Sept. 10th event on HDNet which features a lightweight title bout between Antonio McKee vs. Luciano Azevedo. This should be a good fight, but I'm not 100% sold on the entire card but for a Canadian promotion they do put together some good fights. Let's hope the move from Manitoba, Canada back to Alberta doesn't hurt the event just a few weeks prior.

It looks like the MFC is moving it's MFC 26 event back to Edmonton and the River Cree Casino, which is surprise with just under a month before the event was scheduled in Manitoba, Canada it now moves back to their home base in Alberta, Canada.
The MFC has talked about hosting events in other cities but it seems that keeping events profitable is preventing the "Biggest promotion in Canada" from being more than a local event.

As I said yesterday it wouldn't take long before some of the bigger Canadian promotions look to book events in Ontario and the Maximum Fighting Championship is already looking to book their first event in that province.
The promotions president, Mark Pavelich, takes a lot of flak for being outspoken but he understands that he doesn't have any key fighters that can promote his company for him. Anyone good enough would quickly be snatched up by the big fish in the pond, ... Read More
