Well I guess that means that Dominick Cruz truly is a champion now that he's successfully defended his WEC Bantamweight title. Cruz defeated Joseph Benavidez in a rematch of their WEC 42 fight August 2009, winning a five round battle that had judges scoring a unanimous decision in his favor. The Nevada State Athletic Commission released the salaries for tonight's "WEC 50: Cruz vs. Benavidez" event which features a bantamweight title fight between champ Dominick Cruz and Joseph Benavidez. The main card airs live tonight on the Versus network.
