With a nagging leg injury putting his Strikeforce lightweight title defense in jeopardy, Josh Thomson (16-2) got the official word on Thursday. He'll be replaced by Japanese fighter Mitsuhiro Ishida (18-5-1) on the Aug. 15 "Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg" event against interim champ Gilbert Melendez (15-2).
