Former UFC middleweight title challenger, Thales Leites (14-3), has found a new home with the Maximum Fighting Championship in Canada.
MFC promoter Mark Pavelich made the announcement on Tuesday during a radio spot on TapouT Radio and The Scores' Hardcore Sports Radio, saying that they had reached an agreement for the Brazilian to debut at the organizations MFC 23 event on Dec. 4.

Officials with the Japanese-based DREAM organization announced on Tuesday that the DREAM.12 event will take place in a white six-sided cage and will use three-five minute rounds instead of the promotion's traditional two-round format (with a ten-minute opening round).
DREAM.12 takes place Oct. 25 at Osaka Castle Hall in Osaka, Japan. The event airs in North America on HDNet.

It was announced by Sherdog.com on Tuesday that Japanese-Korean middleweight, Yoshihiro Akiyama "Sexyama" (13-1-0(2)) would travel to California and spend a month training at the Xtreme Couture gym. He'd be working with Shawn Tompkins to "refine his striking" for his next bout.

Recently crowned Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi (26-2-1) posted an update on his status on the M-1 Global website.
