Patrick”The Predator” Cote hasn’t been given much of a chance of beating UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva but he is very confident in his ability to win the fight. Both media and betting lines have certainly thrust Cote into a serious underdog role but you wouldn’t know it by listening to his own words. Cote recently talked to MMACanada and here’s the quote:

“I hired a new conditioning coach, Oz Ben Deli from Corexcellence Gym to help me prepare for this fight. I will be 100% mental and physically going into this fight with Silva. I know im the big underdog in this fight and the media isnt cutting me any slack but rest assured that I will shock the world and be the next champion. After October 25th I will bring the belt back to Canada”

Cote’s chance at the title comes at UFC 90 which takes place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago.

The Outsider’s view: Cote doesn’t stand a chance in hell, and the betline is modest if anything. If Henderson couldn’t dent his game, c’mon Cote you ain’t gonna win.
